The Trial Chamber hearing the case of the former Bosnian Serb police officials has set the dates for the closing arguments: the parties will deliver them from 21 to 24 May 2012. According to the scheduling order issued by the Trial Chamber, the parties must file their final briefs by 7 May 2012.

The prosecution will have six hours to deliver its argument. The defense of the first Bosnian Serb interior minister Mico Stanisic and of Stojan Zupljanin, former chief of the Banja Luka Services Center, will have a total of six hours. They can arrange between them how to divide the time.

In mid-March 2012, the parties rested their cases at the trial of Stanisic and Zupljanin for crimes against Croats and Muslims in BH in 1992. The trial started in September 2009; a total of 147 witnesses was heard. The prosecution called 127 witnesses. Stanisic’s and Zupljanin’s defense called seven and ten witnesses respectively. The Trial Chamber called three witnesses.
